This Cookie Policy explains how GAL Aerospace Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on galaerospace.com, which of them require your permission, and how you can change or withdraw that permission at any time. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which keep small amounts of data in your browser, and tags or pixels, which are pieces of code that can send information to a service provider.
A first-party technology is set by galaerospace.com itself. A third-party technology is set by another organisation, such as a measurement provider, whose code runs on the page.
2. Why GAL Aerospace uses them
We use a small number of these technologies to operate and secure the website, to protect our consultation forms from automated abuse, and — only if you allow it — to understand how the website is used and to measure the performance of our marketing.
We do not use cookies to build consumer advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.
3. Consent categories
Strictly Necessary — required to operate, secure and provide core features of the website. These are always active and cannot be switched off through the preferences panel, because the website cannot be delivered without them.
Functional / Preferences — remember optional choices or provide enhanced features. Off unless you turn them on. The site's content and the contact and booking flow work fully without them.
Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the website. Off unless you turn them on.
Marketing / Advertising — measure advertising performance and whether our marketing reaches relevant business audiences. Off unless you turn them on.
Optional categories are denied by default on your first visit. Scrolling, continuing to browse, or closing the banner is not consent. Rejecting non-essential technologies is exactly as easy as accepting all of them.

5. How your consent is stored
Your choices are stored in a single first-party cookie named gal_consent, set with path=/, SameSite=Lax and the Secure attribute whenever the page is served over HTTPS. It is valid for 180 days, after which you will be asked again.
The cookie holds only the schema version (currently "1"), one true/false value per category, whether a Global Privacy Control signal was present, and the date the choice was made and expires. It contains no name, no email address, no IP address, no device fingerprint and no visitor identifier, and it is not written to any database.
If we materially change the technologies we use or the categories they belong to, we increase the schema version. That invalidates every stored choice and asks you again rather than carrying an old choice over to a new set of technologies.
6. How to change or withdraw your consent
Select Privacy Choices in the footer of any page. The same panel that recorded your consent lets you withdraw it, and withdrawing takes effect immediately.
When you switch a category off, we stop loading the technologies in it and delete the first-party cookies it created that we are able to reach from the website. Cookies set on another organisation's domain can only be removed through your browser settings, which also let you block or delete cookies generally.
7. Global Privacy Control and browser privacy signals
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an instruction to keep marketing and advertising technologies off. The Marketing category is denied and locked while the signal is present, and selecting Accept all does not override it.
The remaining choices stay yours: you can still allow analytics or functional technologies if you wish. Your GPC state is recorded alongside your choice so the setting survives page navigation.
8. Third-party providers and international processing
Where you allow optional technologies, information may be processed by providers located outside Québec and outside Canada, including in the United States, Ireland and the European Union. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC act as our measurement providers; Google reCAPTCHA is provided by Google LLC; and, where you allow marketing technologies, LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company and LinkedIn Corporation process advertising measurement information and may match a visit to a LinkedIn member.
These transfers are governed by the providers' data processing terms and their own safeguards. We do not claim that data processed by these providers remains in Canada. Details of the other service providers involved in operating our website and our contact and booking process — including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph and Microsoft Teams — are described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the technologies we use and to this policy
We may add or change analytics, advertising or website-service providers in the future. When a change affects optional technologies or consent purposes, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where appropriate, ask for your choices again. The table above always describes what the website uses today, not what it might use later.
We update this policy whenever the technologies we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where the change affects what you consented to, we also raise the consent schema version, which asks you for a fresh choice.
